A Term in Review with Capital W - T2 2022
As we reach the end of a jam-packed Term 2, now would be a great time to look back on the many initiatives our team got to experience and recap the many new ventures we established and shared with our members.
Annual Dinner
Annual Dinner would have to be the main highlight of the term, as we held one of our flagship events for another year. With a wide range of sponsors present, the night was a great opportunity to network with sponsors from a range of fields and kept the event fast-paced and engaging. The theme Dare to Defy was greatly discussed by Guest Speaker Miriam Makki, who shared her insightful experiences to all attendees and encouraged us to develop in to the leaders of tomorrow.
Alumni Ball
One of our many new initiatives, Alumni Ball was one the first events held which allowed for current members to interact and network with our wide range of alumni. It was great catching up with older members from the team and share new experiences, while also getting to enjoy a 3-course dinner and take several photos at the photobooth. Special mention to Capital W co-founder Stephanie Pow for sending a video, discussing the humble beginnings of our society and sharing her experiences as a Capital W member.
Bespoke events
Capital W also held many Bespoke events this term, with 2 including the Future Female Leaders Evening (FFLE) with Dress for Success as well as the Around the World Careers Panel. One of many philanthropic events for the year, FFLE was a great way to show support to women in need while also hearing the great panel discussion with 3 female leaders and their journey to becoming the women they are now. For those interested in overseas work or exchange, the Around the World Careers Panel was perfect. The diverse range of representatives who shared their international career experiences and highlights ensured that everyone was catered to.
Of course our many achievements aren't limited to these few events and we hope you all gained as much as we did over the term. Although the term has come to an end, there is still a lot to look forward to in every term with Capital W and we hope to see you then!
