Founded in 2007, Capital W was created with the intention of bringing together those dedicated to empowering women to become the future leaders of tomorrow. With over 5000 members, Capital W aims to provide the opportunities, skills and connections to create an environment that uplifts students into becoming their best selves. Capital W is proud to be represented by a diverse group of students with different backgrounds and passions, who are united in a common goal of empowering women in business.

On behalf of Capital W, we we extend the warmest welcome to both new and returning students, as well as our valued industry partners.
Established in 2007, Capital W is the leading Women in Business Society at the University of New South Wales. Our mission is to develop, inspire, and empower the women of today to become the business leaders of tomorrow. We create meaningful opportunities that bridge the gap between university and the workforce, equipping our members with the skills, confidence and networks to thrive in any career path they choose. United by ambition, resilience and shared purpose, our members create a supportive environment that encourages growth, leadership and confidence.
In 2026, our vision is to strengthen these connections in fresh and innovative ways. We are committed to expanding member engagement, enhancing how we communicate our initiatives, and building enduring relationships with alumni and industry partners. Through inclusive programs, accessible opportunities, and genuine engagement, we strive to ensure our work reflects and supports the diverse aspirations of the women we represent.
Guided by this vision, our focus for 2026 is on purposeful and sustainable growth. We aim to grow our membership, deepen our partnerships, and ensure that every interaction with Capital W adds real value to our members’ journeys.
