Our goal is to help female students develop the skills, confidence and inspiration needed to become successful business leaders. We accomplish this through our partnerships with industry-leading firms, numerous networking opportunities and small scale workshops.

It works both ways – the industry needs to attract women from the first moment they step onto campus and female students need to have the necessary skills to stand out from the competitive graduate crowd. It is vital that students explore the variety of opportunities available in the corporate landscape. Majoring in accounting does not mean you must become an auditor. The possibilities are endless and Capital W is here to help you navigate them!

Contrary to what some might believe, Capital W does not aim to start the next feminist movement. Nor does Capital W exist because female students are greatly disadvantaged. This is definitely not the case at the graduate level!
Capital W exists because there are many areas in which females are under-represented and we endeavour to increase equality in these areas, which in turn boosts innovation. Sign up and become a member! This gives you access to our fortnightly e-newsletter, which will keep you up to date with all the events we hold and the opportunities our sponsors provide. But you should do more than just become a member, become a volunteer as well! Volunteering is a great way to meet new, like-minded people and develop your ‘soft’ skills.
The best way to increase your chances of joining the subcommittee is to volunteer – so get involved! We would love to get to know you! Our subcommittee applications open at the start of each year in semester 1. Executive positions are decided internally on a merit-based ‘promotion’ from a subcommittee or other executive position.
